Holy crap, Gilda is amazing.

With the amount of research you've done and how sweet a model you already have this will be awesome, good luck with the coming week.

Does Gilda get to eat things?

I don't know if you've solved your translucent/ glowing issue yet, but I found this Self Illuminated Alpha Transparent Cutout Shader that accepts Textures... http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php?title=AlphaSelfIllum

Looking good so far! I love the ambience you've got, especially from the point light. The heat waves material works pretty nicely for an underwater effect too.

Is it intentional making the fish swim upside down? It kinda feels like an artefact of the fish following the mouse :S

Yes, her swimming upside down was a bug. She swims correctly now. =)

I've been making progress - albeit not at the pace necessary of a 7day jam. Naturally the week I chose to do this is the week when ALL the things seem to be happening. I can usually go for weeks at a time without encountering any social obligations. :roll:

As of now, you can swim around. There is one type of prey known as Cubis Prefabis. If you get too close it uses pathfinding to run away.

Cubis Prefabis will soon go extinct. Instead we'll have this cuddly little monster of the deep.

Still so much to do. I think my jam will just end up having very rudimentary gameplay by the end of it, and I'll likely add more fish and stuff post-jam.

You know, you can take a little bit more time if you need it. The submission forum will be open until June 10, I believe... That might give you more time to work on gameplay if you have more ideas. :)
