Hmmm, how long does it usually take to find a fish?

You ought to be able to find at least a couple within thirty seconds. If not, then maybe it's bugging out? How long were you looking for?

Not working for me on windows xp. Crashes immediately upon starting. I see only a console window and a message "Lake of Forgetfulness.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I've managed to get hold of a laptop running Windows XP and I've looked into your problem. I think the most likely explanation is that your graphics card doesn't support one of the features that the game's using (like the laptop I'm testing on). Do you know if your graphics card supports using shaders and FBOs?

That could be a possible cause. The machine I was trying to run it on has a radeon x550. It can handle Opengl 2.0 natively. Shader calls work directly from core gl (albeit some older shader model), but fbos only through GL_EXT_framebuffer_object extension.
