Finishing Edit:
Le Lac is a story about a man who has just lost the love of his life to an unknown cause. He returns to his favourite hobby/pastime to find calm.

Can play at
Part of this will test some people's patience.
The music is available at

Follow the prompts (or not.)
Fishing is all controlled by clicking on the water. (or not.)

Wasn't going to participate in this but a conversation with my partner gave me some ideas. Two actually.
Started on the 22nd.
I'm using AS3 and Flixel (because I'm currently hooked on it.)

One of them deals with the solitary & grinding-like nature of fishing. The other is about, well, fish. They do actually link so playing one affects the other.
Yesterday I built a rather excellent story system (allows for Twine-like notation)

Everything is being made by myself, so I apologise for the dreadfulness of my "artwork".
Still some placeholder art in these 'caps.

Coding: Actionscript3 w/Flixel in FlashDevelop or SublimeText.
Audio: Audacity for sounds, Logic Pro for music.
Graphics: Paint.NET

Revamped the whole story system because I overlooked a massive flaw with the original one.
You can now cast/reel in and catch fish. Just no animations yet.
Music composition has also begun.

More updates:
Added animations.
Tomorrow begins the final linking of the two games and remaining content creation.

Wrote some music, fixed a bunch of gameplay issues/quirks, wrote a good deal of story.
Here's the main piece from it:
Plan to have it all finished in the next 8 hours! :o

Despite losing most of my weekend, Le Lac is finished but not the extent that I wanted it to be due to some thematic issues that arose.
The second game, the one with all the fish, has been removed because while they do link, it doesn't make enough sense to warrant it.
There is a bunch of stuff I would have changed (or you know, actually planned the whole thing out before coding.) but I'm happy with the final product.
