Nice fishing lingo! I got 60 on my third try. I can't seem to catch a fish in the deep ocean. Maybe one the items is needed? I put the rom on gp2x and it worked with gpfce. Here's a pic

Yeah you need items to capture at the most difficult location!
If I remember correctly it's the first two items in the shop.

Here's all the equipment in the same order as in the shop:
ProWeights - Increases chance of hooking a fish with 16/256
ProBaits - Increases chance of hooking a fish with 32/256
ProHolder - Increases endurance with 2
ProSupports - Increases endurance with 6
ProLines - Increases strength with 2
ProMaterials - Increases strength with 6
ProFood - Doubles the regeneration of endurance
ProPills - Doubles the regeneration of strength

That list will definitely come in handy. I'll give it another try when I get some rechargeable batteries. Really dig the idea of a seven minute RPG.
