A little bit of progress on gameplay today. It's quite a simple game, so it didn't take too long to get the basics in place - but it doesn't tie together properly yet.
Anyway, here are a few screengrabs to show where I'm at.
First of all, here is the character sprite integrated into the game and the text box system (for story/tutorial) with an ugly bitmap font (yes, the font needs work before it's legible).
The gameplay is centered on guiding your enchanted lure around the level. All but the last fish needs to be looped before hooking the final fish.
When the ghost fishes are captured it all gets a bit 'don't cross the streams'.
Tomorrow I'll spend some time improving/finalising the visuals.
