so after some quick sketches I think the core game mechanic is good enough for prototyping
In SUPER ARCADE FISHING - Director’s Cut
you have a 2d side view on your boat and all the fish beneath you. let’s call it a stage. Simple enough you have to clear the stage to move on to the next one - means you have to catch all the fish (or maybe just reach a certain score … not sure for now).
How do you catch fish?
tap/click on the point on the water surface where you want your hook to get down. after taping there it will slowly sink to the ground and then get up again. The fish are constantly swimming in their circle patterns. With a skilled and well timed try, hopefully the fish has taken the bait.
To make the puzzles more interesting there will be different current. Stronger fish, maybe sharks are planned, annnd some upgrades for you like dynamite, harpoons ...
